On Tap This Week

Hey y'all.  You know what comes with this cooler weather?  You guessed it....Plenty of cool things to do right here in historic downtown Hammond!  

If you are looking for a party this weekend Brady's Restaurant is the place to be, as they have live music with some great drink specials on Thursday night.  Then for those of you who believe in the luck of the Irish and like to drink green beer, Brady's will be hosting their "Half Way to St. Patrick's Day" party on Friday night. So go ahead and get cheezy with the ole "Kiss Me, I'm Irish" line.

Also on Thursday night is the grand opening party for Ponchatoula's coolest new restaurant, Rox Crafted Cuisine & Martini Bar.  Rox will be hosting a block party featuring the Todd O'Neil Band and the Saintsations.

And what better way to enjoy the cooler temps then being outside.  You can listen to some music by Biscuithound on the patio at Mariner's Inn.  You can also "Lion Up" and support Hammond's hometown team, as the SLU Lions open SLC play against McNeese State on Saturday night at Strawberry Stadium.  After the game head on over to Cate Street Pub for Comedy night featuring Hammond's own Dan Lambert.

The one guy in town you want to keep on your good side is Sheriff Daniel Edwards.  So you can participate in the Stop the Violence crime walk Saturday morning, as the Sheriff partners with Crime Stoppers to put a stop to violence.  When all that walking makes you hungry you can stop by the Hammond Farmer's Market and enjoy some delicious food.
