The Lion's Roar recently brought home two first place awards from the Louisiana-Mississippi Associated Press Managing Editors annual meeting in New Orleans. The Lion's Roar, the student newspaper at Southeastern Louisiana University, competed in the college and university division, which recognizes student journalist for outstanding performance in college print journalism.
In the digital website category the Lion's Roar won first place for its website
lionsroarnews.com. Taking home first place in the college/university photography category was the paper's Photography Editor Tony Romain of Slidell, LA.
